And honestly?
We’re a little obsessed with it.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve been setting up our brand-new podcast studio here at Get Fish Slapped, and it’s been such a fun creative project to bring to life.
From lighting and microphones to cameras, sound panels, and figuring out how not to trip over approximately 74 cords… it’s been a process. But seeing it all finally come together has been incredibly exciting.
And naturally, once we started posting behind-the-scenes snippets, people immediately started asking:
“What equipment are you using?”
“Where did you get everything?”
“How expensive is it to build a podcast studio?”
So we thought it would be helpful to put together a blog sharing some of the tools, gear, and equipment we used to create our setup — especially for other businesses, creators, entrepreneurs, and aspiring podcasters looking to start their own show.
Because podcasting right now?
It’s exploding.

Why Businesses Should Be Thinking About Podcasting
Podcasting has become one of the most powerful ways to build:
-
- authority
- trust
- brand personality
- community
- and long-form connection with your audience
Social media moves fast. REALLY fast.
But podcasts allow people to actually spend time with your brand.
Whether you’re:
-
- a business owner
- realtor
- attorney
- coach
- medical professional
- tourism brand
- nonprofit
- or content creator
podcasting creates an opportunity to position yourself as an expert while building authentic relationships with your audience.
And the best part?
Your podcast content can also be repurposed into:
-
- social media clips
- Reels
- TikToks
- YouTube Shorts
- blogs
- email content
- and website SEO content
One recording session can fuel your marketing for weeks.
Building a Podcast Studio Is More Accessible Than Ever
A lot of people assume creating a podcast studio requires:
-
- massive budgets
- complicated production equipment
- or a professional broadcasting background
And while you can go extremely high-end…
you really don’t have to.
One of the coolest parts of building our studio was realizing how many quality podcast tools are now easily accessible online — especially through Amazon.
We were able to source:
-
- microphones
- lighting
- cameras
- boom arms
- soundproofing materials
- headphones
- studio decor
- and production accessories
without needing some giant Hollywood-level production budget.
Technology has made content creation dramatically more accessible for businesses of all sizes.
And honestly, that’s exciting.
Don’t Want to Build Your Own Studio? We’ve Got You Covered.
Of course, not everyone wants to turn an office into a podcast studio or spend time researching equipment setups.
That’s why we’re also excited to offer:
-
- podcast studio rentals
- podcast production assistance
- and executive producer support right here at Get Fish Slapped
So whether you:
-
- want to launch a business podcast
- record interviews
- create educational content
- build a personal brand
- or finally start the podcast you’ve been talking about for two years
we can help make the process easier.
Because sometimes the hardest part of podcasting is simply getting started.
We’re Sharing Our Setup (And Yes — These Are Affiliate Links)
Since so many people have asked what we’re using, we’ll be sharing links to some of the equipment and tools we purchased for our studio setup.
Most of the gear was purchased through Amazon, and we figured this could be a helpful resource if you’re:
-
- pricing out your own studio
- comparing equipment options
- or trying to figure out what you actually need to get started
And full transparency:
Some of these are Amazon Associate affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you purchase through them — at no additional cost to you.
We only plan to recommend equipment we genuinely use, love, and would recommend to our own clients and creative partners.
So thank you in advance for supporting our team while we continue creating resources like this for fellow business owners and creators.
Podcasting Is About Connection
At the end of the day, podcasting isn’t really about microphones or lighting setups.
It’s about connection.
It’s about:
-
- sharing stories
- educating audiences
- building trust
- having conversations
- and creating content that feels human in a world that increasingly feels automated
And honestly?
That’s the kind of marketing we love most.
We can’t wait to share more behind-the-scenes content, podcast episodes, studio updates, and equipment recommendations with you soon.
Stay tuned… this is just the beginning.
